So we are an hour behind you in Vienna, same time line in Istanbul. Sun rose just before eight here. I was up early, before five. So was an eager beaver, packed, showered, and ready to rock and roll before seven. Even watched a music channel for a bit entitled to early, which I had to agree.
Lovely chap downstairs. Working the front desk, similar feel to the guy in Gardelegen but this chap understands English! Asked him how to get to the main train station this morning and was told it was easy, tram #62. So that is where I am headed after 10:30.
Went for a wonderful walk this morning and got to see pet owners enjoying the chilly morning throwing balls in the gardens of the Imperial Palace. These dogs don't know how lucky they are, being able to trample all over royal grass.
At seven in the morning, seems that not many people are out but just like the sunrise, slowly and quietly you are surrounded both by hurried workers travelling to work as you are by brilliant sunshine.
Got back to the hotel just after 09:30, had a tasty-very german breakfast. With no tomatoe sauce, they had real matoes...so had to grin and bear rumbled chicken on its own. I survived. Drinking third cup of coffe for the day. Only had about six cups since I left, so that is good!
Gearing up for the tram, train ride. But first as nat would say, an emergency shooshew...
Will touch base when in hungary.
Hugs from the travelling elf and sophie :)
